Our Approach
“We don’t shoot our wounded”

Our Mission
To promote a change in perspective of persons in recovery from substance use disorder, thereby developing a new way of thinking that alters their decision making process in such a way that it changes their lives, the lives of their families, and the community as a whole for the better.
Our Vision
To eliminate the stigma associated with people in recovery from substance use disorder. To create a society that no longer holds to the old lie, “Once an addict, always an addict,” but believes that recovery is possible one addict at a time. “We do recover!”
Our Values
The Change Agency’s existence and operation are based on a set of core values that have guided the creation of our goals and objectives, and the development of our methodologies and strategies as well as the implementation of our programs and initiatives from the very beginning. These core values relate to:
The importance of utilizing peer support by promoting accountability, responsibility and community involvement.
The understanding that each person is responsible for their own recovery in conjunction with the acceptance that no one recovers alone.
The role that faith plays as motivation for action. What we believe should shape what we do.
Thinking influences behavior. Behavior shapes thinking.
The wisdom of identifying and developing self-actuated goals for optimal long-term success in recovery and in life.
The value of targeting the root systemic cause(s) of the issues of greatest concern when responding to both internal and external obstacles.
The intelligence of utilizing best practices to achieve the most desriable outcomes and impact.
The compassion of building meaningful, long-term relationships with the individuals and organizations as a means of promoting lasting permanent change.
